SALT, along with the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, is sponsoring a conference devoted to understanding the role of the state ballot initiative, especially as it pertains to anti-affirmative action initiatives.

This day-long conference will bring together scholars and activists to consider how ballot initiatives are being used to implement a conservative political agenda and how best to respond, using the 2008 battle over the proposed anti-equal opportunity initiative in Colorado, as a case study.
